NeurologyMedical specialists in the field of neurology look after conditions affecting the nervous system, such as degenerative diseases (e.g. Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease), hereditary diseases (e.g. Friedreich’s ataxia, muscular dystrophy), epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, primary headache (e.g. migraine), neuralgia, painful tics, etc. They also treat numerous pathologies, including vascular disease (stroke), neoplastic disease (primary brain tumour or metastasis of a systemic cancer), infectious diseases (e.g. meningitis, encephalitis).
