Emergency Medicine

Emergency Medicine covers many fields and plays a leading role in the initial treatment of serious emergency conditions, providing appropriate care to emergency room patients, setting up and organizing emergency care and emergency response systems, and ensuring the academic development of emergency medicine per se. On the clinical side, it deals with resuscitation, trauma and emergency care, as well as toxicology, prehospital care, disaster medicine, air transportation of patients, hyperbaric medicine, acute hospital care as well as intensive care cases. In a hospital structure, emergency physicians treat ER patients, first ensuring resuscitation and stabilization, carrying out the appropriate tests and treatments, then completing patients’ care or directing them to the necessary resources inside or outside the hospital.
