Plastic Surgery

The word “plastic” comes from the Greek “plastikos” which means to remodel or reconstruct.  Plastic surgery covers a large range of problems: congenital malformation and development, post-cancer and post-trauma reconstruction, coverage and resurfacing, hand surgery, etc.  Cosmetic surgery also forms part of this vast field.
