Anesthesiology

Because of their involvement with pre-admission clinics, the care of patients during surgery and the management of postoperative pain, anesthesiologists today are defined as “perioperative specialists”. Anesthesiologists have also developed areas of excellence in obstetrical analgesia, the treatment of chronic and cancer pain and in intensive therapy.
