Collège des médecins

The Collège des médecins du Québec (CMQ) is a professional order constituted under the Act respecting the professions (Professional Code, L.R.Q., c. C-26). Its mandate is to ensure the protection of the public and the quality of the medical profession. The CMQ also ensures that physicians abide by their Code of Ethics. All complaints and questions concerning a physician are forwarded to the Collège and dealt with by a syndic. The CMQ issues or withdraws physicians’ licence to practice. It also supervises the quality of the education dispensed by Quebec teaching institutions.
